Future Sexual Relationship Assessment
Every premarital couple will benefit from the Future Sexual Relationship Assessment by identifying potential threats to a fulfilling sexual marriage relationship. No one should be judged on their past. The assessment will help identify any past experiences/behaviors a couple might need to disclose to each other as they begin shaping a future together. These disclosures should not occur early in a relationship, and this assessment is for a couple that is talking about a future marriage.
The Future Sexual Relationship Assessment uses eight statements that help a couple discuss expectations, purity, and past relationships. The report will give a side by side comparison of the man and woman’s self-view and their views of each other. The statements will read boy/girlfriend for dating couples, fiancé for engaged couples, and spouse for married couples.
The report aligns each person’s answers as Agreement or Improvement Needed.
- Strength worksheets that help couples to celebrate their agreement (strengths).
- Improvement needed worksheets help couples have a guided conversation in the areas that they disagree about their future sexual relationship.
- All worksheets use Scriptures, Principles, Discussion Questions, and Practical Applications.
- Growth Plans are devotionals that help couples begin their journey of enrichment.
The Bible teaches that sex is a celebration of a couple’s commitment to share everything in a marital relationship. The values of fidelity, purity, intimacy, and disclosure will prepare a couple to protect their relationship from any potential threats to their physical and emotional intimacy and purity.
