Communication and Conflict Resolution
The Communication & Conflict Resolution LIMRI offers couples a unique opportunity to enrich their relationship. Conflict is a normal and healthy process in all relationships. The absence of disagreements is not necessarily a sign of a healthy relationship. An exceptional relationship is marked by two people who have learned how to communicate on a level that is affirming, transparent, and mutually beneficial.
The Conflict Resolution Report uses eleven statements such as “I listen to my spouse’s point of view when we disagree, and “I resolve conflicts with my spouse quickly.” The report gives you a side by side comparison of the man and woman’s self-view and their view of each other.
The Communication Report uses eight statements such as “I use encouraging words when speaking to my spouse” and “My spouse is a good listener.” These statements will help identify areas where communication is positive and helpful, and areas needing improvement.
The report categorizes the couple’s responses into three areas of engagement: Agreement (strength), Improvement Needed, and Disagreement.
- Demographic questions create a personalized inventory and worksheets based upon your relationship status. The statements will read boy/girlfriend for dating couples, fiancé for engaged couples, and spouse for married couples.
You will receive personalized reports, growth plans, and worksheets.
- Strength worksheets help couples to celebrate their Agreement (strengths) in the way they resolve their conflicts.
- Improvement/Disagreement worksheets utilize Scriptures, Principles, Discussion Questions, and Practical Applications that empower and equip couples to resolve conflict and communicating more effectively.
The Bible teaches, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” (Romans 12:2) and “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers” (Ephesians 4:29). Scriptures like these will guide couples toward a thriving relationship through enriched communication and conflict resolution.
