Personality
The Personality Assessment will encourage dating, engaged, and married couples to discuss how they connect to each other’s hearts. Webster’s dictionary defines personality as “personal existence” or the totality of an individual’s behavioral and emotional characteristics (Webster). These behavioral and emotional characteristics are unique to each person. A study in 2000 by Amy Dixon Blackmon examined marital satisfaction. Her research revealed that men and women said that empathy is essential to a healthy relationship. The Assessment will help to identify areas where you connect well and where you need to improve.
The Personality Assessment uses nine statements, such as I am empathetic when my spouse is overwhelmed, and I balance work and home responsibilities well. These statements measure how a couple connects to their hearts. The Report gives a side by side comparison of the man’s and woman’s views about themselves and each other way of connecting with each other. The statements will read boy/girlfriend for dating couples, fiancé for engaged couples, and spouse for married couples.
The Report validates areas of engagement as Agreement or Improvement Needed.
The relationship Report also includes:
- Strength worksheets that help couples to celebrate their agreement (strengths).
- Improvement needed worksheets that guide couples to discuss areas of improvement or disagreement and to strengthen their relationship.
- All worksheets use Scriptures, Principles, Discussion Questions, and Practical Applications.
- Growth Plans are devotionals that help couples begin their journey of enrichment.
