Extended Family
The Extended Family LIMRI will help dating, engaged, and married couples discuss each other’s family’s influence on their personal lives and relationships. A couple will need to identify how each other’s family of origin has the potential to influence their relationship in positive and negative ways. Couples will develop a plan to model their love and values to family members and ensure that they protect their relationship from any family influence that may be negative or unhealthy.
The Extended Family Report uses five statements like My extended family is a positive influence in our lives, and My spouse’s extended family is a positive influence in our lives. The report gives a side by side comparison of the man’s and woman’s self-views and their views of each other. The report validates areas of engagement as Agreement or Improvement Needed.
The report also includes:
- Strength worksheets that help couples to celebrate their agreement (strengths).
- Improvement/Disagreement worksheets will help couples develop a plan to influence their family of origin with the love and grace that their relationship models and identify any unhealthy patterns that may poorly affect their relationship.
- All worksheets use Scriptures, Principles, Discussion Questions, and Practical Applications.
- Growth Plans are devotionals that help couples begin their journey of enrichment.
